Prophylaxis of mother to child transmission (PMTCT) should be a part of continuous support for HIV-positive women and their children. PMTCT Services should work together with other state-assisted and non-governmental healthcare establishments providing care in the sphere of HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, pediatrics, treatment of drug addiction, harm reduction from injection drug use, psychological and social support, child protection etc. • Pregnant women who are injection drug users (IDUs) should have the same access (without discrimination) to medical services, including antiretroviral therapy (ART), to care for their reproductive health, PMTCT, obstetrics services, - the same as pregnant women not addicted to drugs. .• All medical documentation, no matter if it contains information about HIV or not, should be kept according to the rules of observing medical secrecy. The access to such documentation belongs only to medical workers who are directly involved into the process of providing medical care, and to the extent limited by the necessity.
